The summer transfer window may be a few months away from officially opening, but Arsenal are already making giants strides to seal up deals for their transfer targets ahead of time.
According to popular Spanish media outlet Fichajes.net, the Gunners have tabled a shock bid for Napoli hitman Gonzalo Higuain.
Arsene Wenger has been quoted in recent weeks as searching for “world class” targets and Arsenal are keen on the former Real Madrid striker who is known as one of the deadliest finishers in world football.
The 27-year-old striker is reportedly looking for a move away from Napoli this summer and Wenger has moved quickly with a bid tabled for the Argentine.
Higuain has been a long time target of Wenger, with the Frenchman reportedly failing on several occasions to land his signature.
But with the boss keen on a serious title charge next season, Higuain is certainly the type of fire power Wenger is searching for to add to his attack.
With 25 goals and 10 assists this season, Arsenal fans can be sure of a proven striker within their ranks if the tabled bid successfully go through.
