Arsenal are reportedly on the lookout for top quality players ahead of next season.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push next season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best in the summer to achieve his target.

Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in the summer, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.

According to the Express, Arsenal are looking to sign two French players this summer in a deal believed to be worth £65million.

The report has made it clear the Gunners are in the race to sign Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia and Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, after the Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the duo in recent weeks.

22-year-old Kondogbia who has been a long time target of Arsenal is valued at £35million by the principality club, with Manchester United and several top clubs across Europe also keen on the midfilder power house; but the reports further claims Kondogbia wants to sign for Arsenal, after being convinced by Arsene Wenger.

While fellow compatriot Lacazette who has been heavily linked with a move away from Lyon could cost the Gunners around £30million.

The goal-scoring 24-year-old became the top scorer in the Ligue 1 in the just concluded season and has also attracted a  number of interest from top clubs across Europe, with Manchester United, Liverpool and PSG all keen.
