Early this week, news broke-out that one of Arsene Wenger’s most loyal stars is unhappy with his treatment at the club and could exit the Emirates Stadium in the summer to change his situation.
Arsenal, last year exercised their option to extend the Czech international’s contract by a year, yet, Rosicky has found himself on the fringes of the first team, and isn’t happy with his lot.
“Since the moment Arsene Wenger used the option in my contract, I haven´t been even on the bench. I am laughing but it´s not funny,” he said.
However, the midfield maestro added that despite his frustration at the situation, he remains a professional and will remain focused in other to take his chance whenever it comes by.
“It is frustrating but I am a professional. Even if you lose your place you must be still prepared because the situation can change.”
In my own opinion, the 34-year-old remains committed to Arsenal, and would extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium as expected in the coming weeks.
Several reports have laid claims that Rosicky, who didn’t make the bench for Arsenal’s FA Cup triumph over Aston Villa, could be on the brink of seeing his nine-year stay with the Gunners come to an abrupt end.
