Arsenal could be handed another transfer blow from the hands of Italian giants AC Milan.
Italian giants AC Milan have reportedly stepped up their interest in signing Arsenal key summer target Geoffrey Kondogbia.
This report is according to popular Italian media outlet Tuttomercatoweb, who claim Milan are keen on landing the French midfielder this summer.
Arsenal are in the hunt for a commanding midfielder this summer and have targeted the 22-year-old as a cheaper alternative to Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin, who has a £25million price tag slammed on his head.
This prompted the Gunners to shift attentions to the Monaco star, and the hunt for Kondogbia’s signature intensified, with the Gunners reportedly submitting an £18.2million bid for the dynamic midfielder.
However, Monaco have handed Arsenal a blow, with the Ligue 1 outfit demanding a transfer fee in the region of £24.6million.
Wenger is a keen admirer of Kondogbia. However, whether the boss will splash the cash to land his man remains uncertain. And with Milan lurking, the Gunners could be handed another blow after the Rossoneri recently beat the Gunners to the signing of summer target Jackson Martinez.
