Arsenal star have been linked in a transfer move that would surely see the angry side of Arsenal fans, should such a deal go through.
Francis Coquelin has reportedly emerged as a shock transfer target for French money bags Paris St Germain.
The Gunners midfielder has impressed Laurent Blanc with his energetic performances in the Premier League and FA Cup.
And the Daily Star claim the Gunners could lose the in-form midfielder this summer, as Wenger looks to return Captain Mikel Arteta to his side for next season, hence paving the way for PSG to swoop in for their man with a huge cash offer.
In my own opinion, Wenger would be totally out of his mind to let Coquelin leave this summer.
The 24-year-old’s rise to prominence at Arsenal helped paved the way for the Gunner’s second-half-of-the-season brilliant run of form, which saw Wenger’s men on the path of a ten-game unbeaten run.
Rather than selling the Frenchman, Wenger would be looking more in the direction of providing him with competition and support to eliminate any form of complacency and fatigue.
However, the report also added that with PSG’s financial might, anything is possible.
