Swansea City has appointed former Wales international Tony Roberts as the club’s new first-team goalkeeping coach.
Many have said the exit of Tony Roberts to Swansea is a clear proof Cech to arsenal deal will be announced anytime soon, as there have been reports that Cech will be bringing his own personal Coach to the Emirates.
Tony, 45, will be replacing Swansea’s goalkeeper Coach Javier Garcia who has returned to Spain due to personal reasons after 12 months at Swansea.
“I’ve got no doubt that his talents will strengthen the club’s backroom staff,” Swans manager Garry Monk said.
“We are disappointed to lose Javi because he has done a great job over the last year and we thank him for all his hard work and dedication.
“But we are delighted to be able to replace him with someone of Tony’s calibre and experience. He comes with an excellent reputation as a forward-thinking, modern and knowledgeable goalkeeping coach.”
Tony Roberts will join former England Striker James Beattie, was just recently appointed the first team coach at Swansea City
