Arsenal have been given a massive boost in their bid to land key summer transfer target.
Arsenal have been heavily linked in recent weeks to Porto hitman Jackson Martinez; and now the Colombian, who was said to have snubbed interests from other club to agree a move to AC Milan, has move to quash the rumours leaving Arsenal very much in the race to land the forward.
The 28-year-old striker while squashing rumours of a move to Milan been done, sang the praise of Arsenal and one it’s living legends Thierry Henry. And many reports have move to suggest the player is closer to a move to the Emirates Stadium than the San Siro.
“I’ve always had two players I’ve admired above all others: Ronaldo and Henry. So I’m very happy he made that comment about me,” he said.
“Arsenal are a great team, playing in one of the best leagues in the world.
“I’m still waiting to see what the future holds. It’s not known yet but it will be known soon.
“Whether it’s England, Italy or Spain, the most important thing is that my family and I both feel well and I can enjoy my football.”
It is not yet known where Martinez would end up. However, it would delight Arsenal fans to see the club going all out to complete a move for the clinical finisher to complement the Gunners attack as they look to end their 12-year wait for the Premier League title.
