AS Roma youngster Alessio Romagnoli is likely to become an Arsenal player soon, with the Gunners set to meet Roma’s sporting director to discuss a transfer move, according to the Metro.
Romagnoli spent last season on loan at Sampdoria where he excelled, attracting interests from several clubs, with AC Milan and Arsenal reportedly keen on the youngster.
The 20-year-old centre-back is valued at £24.4million by Roma, but despite keen interest from AC Milan, no club has offered anything close to such a fee, according to the Telegraph.
But with Roma’s sporting director Walter Sabatini reportedly flying to England to work on other deals, speculations have intensified, with reports claiming he would meet with Arsenal’s board to discuss a deal for the player.
