Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push next season and the boss is aware of
the need to bring in only the best in the summer to achieve his target.
Arsenal could be set for a shock transfer blow in the coming weeks with reports of key summer targets set to be signed up by bitter rivals Manchester United.
According to reports emerging from Italy per Tuttosport, Manchester United are plotting to steal a march on the Gunners by beating them to the signature of Germany International duo Julian Draxler and Mario Gotze.
The report says the Red Devils are keen on adding the talented duo to their side despite the series of big money signings already made this summer by manager Louis van Gaal.
The report also claims the Dutch boss is hoping to capitalize on his good rapport with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich to land out-of-favour attacking midfielder Gotze, who has been deemed surplus to requirements for manager Pep Guardiola.
The United boss will also try his luck with Schalke for their star winger Draxler, and hope to secure the signature of the highly rated German who is reportedly keen on moving to a bigger club this summer despite a move to Serie A giants Juventus falling through recently.
Both Draxler and Gotze are long time targets for Arsenal, with the Gunners heavily linked with a move for the duo this in recent weeks.
