Arsenal are set to go all out to wrap up deals as we gradually approach the most heated period of the summer transfer window.
The Gunners are reportedly keen on Bayer Leverkusen’s “spectacular” midfielder Lars Bender and have sent scouts to watch him in midweek, according to reports.
The Sunday People claim the Gunners will make an £18million bid for the 26-year-old Germany international due to Jack Wilshere’s continued injury problems and doubts over Mathieu Flamini’s future.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is also quoted as saying: “You have to keep your nerve and not buy just because others buy, but because you have found a player who can really give you a plus.”
Both Lars and his twin brother Sven have been targeted by Wenger for years, and it appears the boss see this summer as the best time to swoop on for one of the twin.
