Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger weekly press conference was released today Thursday ahead of weekend clash against Stoke city.
Wenger was asked series of questions and one of them was on Olivier Giroud, Wenger had this to say:
“He has my full support and I believe that is part of being a striker. There is no striker in the world who has not been questioned. When he missed a chance and is booed, that can happen.”
Giroud has failed to impress the Gunners and Arsene Wenger Knows this is true, he is not the first striker to be booed at but Wenger should know that when a player is off his game he should have a replacement for him.
Arsenal were linked to an array of star last summer and the Gunners were believed to be interested in signing Frenchman Karim Benzema from Real Madrid but the deal got stale.
Wenger was only able to sign Chelseas’s veteran goalie Petr Cech for 10 million and ge failed to fill into vital position like getting a defensive midfielder and also a clinical finsher.
If truly Wenger is ready to go for a major title push this term he has to up his game by new-year.
