Arsenal former first choice goalie and polish international Wojciech Szczesny who is currently on a season long loan with Italian giant sustained an injury yesterday during a 1-1 draw against Spanish giant Barcelona in the Champions League game.
The 25-year-old was forced to leave the field after injuring the finger in a challenge with former Liverpool man Luis Suarez.
“Medical tests have revealed Wojciech Szczesny dislocated the ring finger in his left hand during this evening’s Champions League tie with Catalan side Barcelona,” a statement on the Roma website read.
“The Polish goalkeeper was forced to leave the field after injuring the finger in a challenge with Luis Suarez in the 50th minute of the game.
“He will undergo further tests in the next few days to determine the extent of the injury.”
