Wenger himself confirmed he would sign only “top players” in winter, and this has seen the club linked to an avalanche of star players in recent weeks.
Leicester City are now willing to sell in-demand Ben Chiwell but the youngster won’t be leaving for cheap according to Daily Star.
The Gunners had initially have a £3.5 Million bid rejected by the Foxes while the Anfield club are yet to place an official bid though they retain an interest in the talented left back.
Now the Foxes claim that Chiwell would cost any interested suitors £8 Million to secure his services from the King Power Stadium.
He was initially on loan earlier in the season with Huddersfield and was in the Leicester City team that lost 5-4 via penalty shootout to Hull City in the Capital one cup in October and was also in the team that held Tottenham to a 0-0 draw in the third round as the Foxes forced a replay with Mauricio Pochettino’s side at the King Power Stadium in which his coach; Claudio Ranieri was pretty impressed with Chiwell’s performance.
The 19 year old is considering his future at Leicester City not just because on lack of game time but also because of his relatively low wage; Chiwell receives as low as £800 a week representing Leicester City.
