Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.
Reports emerging from France states that Arsenal are in discussion with French side AS Monaco over the signing of young striker Kylian Mbappe who is regarded as the next “Anthony Martial” to the Emirates Stadium.
According to Punditarena, Arsene Wenger were monitoring Martial’s progress at Monaco and were considering a move only for United to swoop in and do a deal for the striker. However, having missed out on Anthony Martial, it seems Wenger may now be on the brink of signing the next best thing as reports claim that Arsenal scouts, Giles Grimandi is now in Monaco just for the sole purpose of finalising a transfer for the rising star.
Mbappe is described as a versatile player very similar to Manchester United’s Anthony Martial as he also can play on the flanks. Monaco would be looking to cash in on the youngster who would be out of contract in the summer rather than losing him for free.
Arsenal are said to be leading the chase for the youngster after his impressive performance since breaking into the Monaco first team; but he has also attracted other club’s interest. The Gunners are known to securing the signature of young players with potential to be great in the future.
