Former Arsenal striker has slammed the Gunners and claimed the squad doesn’t have the determination and drive to win the Premier league, via the BBC.
The North London side who fell further behind Leicester City after Sunday’s defeat to Manchester United have received criticism from different angles and now former striker Ian Wright believes the Gunners does not have what it takes to win the league.
“All season they have had the opportunity to get a consistent run going and put the other teams at the top under pressure,” Wright told BBC Sport.
“But they have not been able to do that yet – they have already had one wobble at the start of 2016 where they failed to score in three out of four Premier League games and only picked up three points.
“At the moment Arsenal simply do not have the drive and determination they need.”
However, Wenger does not agree with Wright’s stance as the French man believes his current squad is the best he has had at his disposal for a long time and they are capable of winning the League.
