Arsenal are demanding £11.6m for the services of Wojciech Szczesny should they decide to sell the goalkeeper, according to reports.
Szczesny who joined Italian side Roma on loan is currently having a wonderful season at the Serie A and attracting interest from a host of top clubs in England and Italy.
Szczesny joined Roma on a season long loan after the arrival of Petr Cech and with the Czech republic keeper still likely to continue next season, Szczesny is likely not to return to the Emirates.
According to Italian publication Calciomercato via the Metro, AS Roma have made a move to extend the goalkeeper’s loan spell by another year but were immediately turned down by Arsenal.
It is believed that Arsenal are only interested in allowing the goalkeeper leave on a permanent basis and are demanding a fee of £11.6m for his services.
Roma may struggle to come up with such money because of the relative low financial power in the serie A which could see the likes of Everton swoop for the goalkeeper. Everton are preparing for life without Howard as the Veteran goalkeeper is interested in moving back to the United States and the Merseysiders are reportedly monitoring Szczesny’s situation.
Szczesny has made over 20 appearances for Roma this season helping the serie A side to 3rd on the serie A table.
