Recent reports have claimed AS Roma striker Umar Sadiq is a target of Arsenal and the striker’s agent Mohammed Lawalb has now confirmed the Gunners interest in his client, according to the Metro.
The Gunners have been linked with different strikers across Europe and Sadiq is the lastest being linked with a move to North London.
The club reportedly had a bid in the region of £10.25m rejected for the player’s services with his current club holding out for a fee of £11.6m.
It is believed that the Gunner’s interest in the striker is very strong and now his agent has confirmed Wenger’s interest in signing the 19-year-old.
Although, the agent revealed we could face competiton for Bundesliga heavy weights Borussia Dortmund in the race to sign the striker.
‘Yes we have been approached by Arsenal,’ said Mohammed Lawalb.
‘But they are not the only team interested in Sadiq as Borrussia Dortmund are also pushing for him.
‘In the coming days or weeks we will know where he is heading to, but for now, he is very happy and focused at Roma.’
The striker has scored 16 goals in 16 games for Roma’s second team this season and has scored 2 legue goals in 6 league appearances for the first team since joining the club last summer.
