Arsenal’s Polish keeper Wojciech Sczcesny wants to stay in Roma another season if he isn’t guaranteed of first team football at Arsenal next season.
The 25-year-old Polish international has been a permanent fixture in Roma’s line up this season and has impressed for the Italian capital club.
With Petr Cech having secured the number one shirt at the Emirates and proving himself a vital part of the team, Sczcesny’s chances are likely to be limited at the Emirates for at least next season.
The young goal keeper said in an interview “Will I stay at Roma? For me, football always comes first, I have the confidence of everyone here. When you have the trust of your teammates, the coach and the fans, as well as playing every Sunday, then that can only be the best.
Obviously it’s not just thanks to me, but everyone who has helped me”
That trust is something the Emirates cannot guarantee him at the moment -with the plight of David Ospina who after some recent good performances haven’t convinced the Emirates crowd he can be number one- a good example.
It’ll be best for all parties if he stays one more season as it stands.
