Arsenal are monitoring the situation of Manchester City’s midfielder Yaya Toure ahead of a possible summer move, according to reports.

The club has been linked with a number of midfielders across Europe as Wenger plans for a major overhaul of the midfield which could see as many as three midfielders leave the club this summer.

The likes of Vincent Wanyama, Granit Xhaka, Toni Kroos have been linked with the club and Yaya Toure is the latest name to be thrown into the hat.

Toure’s future at the Etihad had been thrown into doubt due to the impending arrival of Pep Guardiola and his agent Dimitri Seluk has now revealed that his client will be leaving the club this summer.

Seluk claims the midfielder will decide on his next club at the end of the season and will remain focused at City till then.

The 32 year old will have just one year left in his current contract at the end of the season and with City’s hierarchy not prepared to open fresh negotiations with the midfielder, he could now be set for a fresh chapter in his career.

“We have waited too long,” Seluk told Sky Sports. “Manchester City promised a deal but nothing has materialized so Yaya will leave in June.

“Yaya is disappointed of course. But he is a professional and he remains under contract so he will continue to do his best for City.”

According to club call, Wenger who is interested in signing a midfielder this summer has been linked with a move to sign Yaya Toure.

However, Inter Milan could rival the club for the Ivory coast’s international as Mancini revealed last summer that he will sign Toure should he decide to leave the Etihad.
