Arsenal are looking at the possibility of signing Getafe’s duo Pablo Sarabia and Alvaro Vazquez, according to reports.
Spanish publication Don Balon via the Daily Star claims Arsene Wenger is interested in signing both players for a bargain price.
It is claimed that both players could be available for a combined fee of £14m and Wenger is being tempted by the opportunity to sign players with huge potential for that price.
Vazquez who plies his trade as a striker spent a year in the Premier League with Swansea in the 2013/2014 season. The striker had a difficult spell at Swansea making twelve appearances, failing to score a goal. However the striker has been impressive since returning to the La Liga and Wenger is said to be happy with his potential.
Sarabia is an attacking midfielder who has been with the Spanish club since 2011. The playmaker has also been impressive for his team this season. Vazquez and Sarabia are one of the few bright spots in a Getafe team that is rock bottom of the La Liga table and on the verge of relegation.
Wenger is hopeful he will be able to sign the players and offer them top flight football next season.
The pair have scored nine goals between them this season but it is no doubt that the duo are not in the category of players the fans are yearning for but knowing Wenger is fond of signing players for a cut-price fee, we won’t be surprised if we see any of the duo at the Emirates next season.
