Ex-Gunner, Ray Parlour has revealed why the Gunners won’t be able to win titles this season.
He believes Arsene Wenger should overhaul his strike force by letting go of Olivier Giroud and sign Robert Lewandowski.
Giroud has failed to score in his 13 premier league appearances for the Gunners and fan are gradually becoming impatience with him.
The former Arsenal Star is calling for Wenger should sign Lewandowski from Bayern Munich
“Robert Lewandowski, if they can get him,” Parlour said (via Daily Star) when asked who he thinks Arsenal should sign in an attack. “Someone of that calibre.
“Ideally, you want players that are 25 or 26, but sometimes you don’t get opportunities for that.
“I just think they’re lacking a top quality striker. He’s done well, Olivier Giroud, but is he good enough for the Champions League and Premier League?”
The polish striker has been remarkable the season he has found the back of the net 38 times in 46 games.
In the Bundesliga alone he has scored 27 goals in 30 appearances – a figure that hasn’t been reached since Klaas-Jan Huntelaar did so in 2011-12 when he finished the season with 29.
The big question still remains will Wenger sign new players in summer or would he continue his stingy policy.
