Manchester United have joined the race to sign Arsenal Winger Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain, according to reports.
The winger has already been linked with a move to Southampton and Manchester City with both clubs reportedly very keen on the winger.
And now according to the ESPN via Ibtimes, a source very close to the player has revealed Manchester United’s interest in the winger. Chelsea was interested in signing Chamberlain last summer as part of the deal to bring Petr Cech to the Emirates but Wenger wasn’t interested in a swap deal. With then Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho now likely to take charge at Manchester United at the end of this season, one could see why the Old Trafford club have joined the race to sign the midfielder. It appears that Mourinho is a big fan of the midfielder but the Portuguese or Manchester United will face stiff competition for the player’s signature.
Southampton are prepared to do whatever it takes to bring their former academy player back to the club while Guardiola is said to be a fan of Chamberlain’s versatility.
Chamberlain’s future has somehow stalled since moving to Arsenal scoring 7 league goals in 100 League appearances and it is believed he will be open to the idea of moving to another club in order to kick start his career.
