Liverpool are prepared to rival Arsenal for the signature of Celtic’s Kieran Tierney and Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell, according to the Daily Star.

The Gunners are reportedly in search of a left back as Wenger considers allowing Kieran Gibbs leave the club this summer. Gibbs is reportedly interested in a move away from the club after losing the first team spot to Nacho Monreal.

Wenger is reportedly  willing to allow Gibbs leave should he find a suitable replacement but the French man could find it difficult to secure a replacement for the defender.

Two of Arsenal’s top target to replace Gibbs are said to be attracting interest from Liverpool and the Reds are prepared to go head to head with the Gunners to sign either of those players.

First it’s Kieran Tierney who is said to have impressed Wenger with his performances this season but according to Football Insider, Liverpool could sign the defender ahead of Arsenal.

Ben Chilwell is another player high on Wenger’s wish list. The French man had two bids rejected for the teenager in January and the manager is willing to return with an improved offer this summer but the fullback has been recommended to Jurgen Klopp by Huddersfield boss David Wagner. Chilwell spent some part of this season on loan at Huddersfield and was impressive for the Championship side and Wagner who worked under Klopp at Dortmund has urged his former boss to sign the young defender.

Wenger is determined to spend big this summer and the French man’s desire could just give him an edge over his rival.
