Arsenal goalie Wojciech Szczesny has taken a swipe at Arsene Wenger and the club claiming he has learnt a lot away from the Emirates.
The goalkeeper who joined Serie A side AS Roma on loan last summer has always revealed he is not interested in returning to the Emirates as back up to Petr Cech.
The Poland goalkeeper now appears to have taken a swipe at the club claiming he learnt more in the few months away with Roma than he did at Arsenal.
The goalkeeper reportedly has a good relationship with Roma boss Luciano Spalletti who took over the reigns of affairs at the Italian club in January and Szczesny has now revealed Spalletti already has a greater impact in his career than Wenger, via Goal.
“I learned more in four months with Spalletti than in 10 years in England,” the 26-year-old said.
The goalkeeper has always expressed his desire to remain at Roma and reiterated staying in Italy will be better for his progress as a player.
“I know where I will play in the next season but I won’t say it”, he said.
“If I stay in Rome I will grow more, if I will return to Arsenal I will make good use of this experience.
“Arsenal have paid most of my salary, and I have another 2 years on my contract with them”.
Szczesny made 31 League appearances for Roma throughout the course of the campaign and was definitely a key player for the Italian side.
