Morata is expected to leave Juventus this season as Real Madrid prepares to activate it’s €30m buy-back clause in the player’s contract and Arsenal are said to have made their first move as Wenger attempts to sign a striker this summer.

According to Italian Journalist Tancredi Palmieri via Arsenal Station, the Gunners have made an official bid of £38.7m as they attempt to close in on the striker ahead of Chelsea.

The Italian journalist revealed on his twitter account:

The Blues are also keen on the striker but Wenger is determined to beat his rivals to the signature of the forward. He is said to have set aside a basic salary worth around £150,000 a week and has now made the first move by lodging an official offer.

Morata has scored 15 Serie A goals for Juventus since joining the club in 2014.
