Arsenal are set to open talks with Leicester City over signing defender Ben Chilwell, according to reports.
The Gunners have been linked with a move to sign the young fullback since January and Wenger is determined to try again this summer.
Liverpool were recently touted as favourites to sign the fullback with reports claiming Jurgen Klopp has earmarked the 19-year-old as a priority target but according to Football Insider, Arsene Wenger has ordered the club to go all out for the defender and talks would soon be initiated as regards signing the 19-year-old.
Wenger is said to be a huge fan of the defender and the French man had two bids rejected for the fullback in January. The latest being a £7m but Wenger won’t let that deter him and is determined to get the man this time around.
Wenger sees Chilwell as a perfect replacement for Kieran Gibbs who could leave the club this summer. The defender is a product of Leicester City’s academy and for that reason the Foxes are not prepared to let him leave. However, it would be difficult for Ranieri to keep hold of the defender beyond this season with Liverpool and Arsenal seriously interested in the defender.
