Barcelona are plotting to resign Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin, according to reports. The defender was a product of the Catalan giants popular La Masia academy before moving to North London at the age of 16.
According to Spanish Publication Mundo Deportivo via 101 greatgoals, Barcelona are looking at the possibility of signing Hector Bellerin as they search for a right back to replace Dani Alves. Alves contract at the club is set to expire at the end of this season and Bellerin is top of the Catalan giants wish list to replace the Brazilian fullback.
The report claims Barcelona have already assigned representatives to initiate contact with Bellerin as regard a move back to the Camp Nou.
Barcelona are hoping to sign the defender the same way they poached Fabregas in 2011 but the Catalans will find it a bit difficult this time around as the player recently revealed he is more than happy to stay at the Emirates and isn’t interested in a move to the Camp Nou.
“I say every year that England is my home now,” he was quoted as saying by Mundo Deportivo.
“For many years I have lived in England. I have my family there, I am living with my girlfriend there. I am very happy, so I don’t see myself anywhere other than Arsenal.”
Arsene Wenger will definitely want to keep the defender and the player’s wish to stay will serve as goodnews to the French man as the 21 year old will not be easily distracted by Barcelona’s interest.
