Manchester City are interested in signing Arsenal duo Jack Wilshere and Hector Bellerin, according to reports.
The Etihad side are preparing to carry out a major squad overhaul as incoming Man city boss Pep Guardiola is keen on signing players that fit into his philosophy.
Top of the Spaniard’s wish list is Hector Bellerin and Jack Wilshere, according to a report on Squawka.
The report sites the Times as it source which claims City wants Bellerin to replace out going Pablo Zabaleta this summer, while also reporting Wilshere is a target of the Etihad side.
The report claims Wilshere is the most likely of the two players to join the Eithad side as he is expected to fall down the pecking order in Arsenal’s midfield due to the arrival of Granit Xhaka.
In Contrast, Manchester City has no chance of signing Bellerin as it is expected that Wenger would resist all bids for the 21 year old defender. Bellerin has developed into one of the best full backs in world football and Wenger is not prepared to lose any of his key players this summer and losing him to a direct rivals makes it more difficult.
Wilshere and Bellerin are in England and Spain squad respectively for the Euro 2016 championships while Wilshere is expected to play a key role for England, Bellerin could make an impact should he be given the chance by Del Bosque.
