Arsenal and Chelsea are set to go head to head in the race to sign Spanish sensation Alvaro Morata, according to the Mirror.

Morata is expected to return back to Real Madrid this summer and then be sold immediately and the 23-year-old has talked up the possibility of moving to the Premier League.

Arsenal have been seriously linked with the striker as Wenger attempts to bolster his strike force while incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is also keen on signing a striker.

Wenger is prepared to pay above £38m to bring the striker to England but Chelsea are also prepared to rival Wenger for the striker’s services.

Morata wants his future resolved as soon as possible, preferably before the Euros.
