Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky has been ruled out of the Euro 2016 championship due to an injury he suffered on Friday night.
Rosicky suffered a frustrating season with a knee and thigh injury restricting him to play 20 minutes for Arsenal first team last season.
The 35-year-old picked up the injury during his nation’s crucial Group D game with Croatia which ended 2-2 to keep their qualification hopes alive.
The Czech man admitted that the injury didn’t look good and he assumes the worst but was awaiting a scan to know the full extent of the injury.
“Czech Republic doctors confirm that captain Tomas Rosicky will miss the rest of #EURO2016 with a thigh injury.”
Rosicky is yet to be offered a new contract at Arsenal and he is expected to leave at the end of the month.
