Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has not given up on signing Arsenal Fullback Hector Bellerin.
Guardiola is planning to revamp his squad at the Etihad and has set his sights on the Gunners’ man.
Bellerin has developed into one of the best fullbacks in Europe after breaking into the first team in 2014 and he is now attracting interest from a lot of teams.
According to Manchester Evening News via the Daily Star, Guardiola has ordered scouts to keep an eye on the defender.
The report added that Guardiola is yet to make an official contact with Arsenal as regards signing the defender but he features prominently on the City boss’ wish list.
City’s Pablo Zabaleta is set for a move away from the Etihad this summer and Bellerin is being eyed as a potential replacement.
Arsenal are determined to keep the defender at the Emirates and will reject City’s advances. Along with his quality, the 21 year old also has the added advantage of being an homegrown player and Wenger would have to think twice before letting the defender leave.
Bellerin has always stated he is desire to stay at the Emirates stadium and it could be a task too far for City to sign the fullback this summer.
