Arsenal are interested in signing Sparktar Moscow winger Quincy Promes, according to reports in Russia.
Wenger is reportedly very keen on strengthening his squad this summer and has identified the right wing as a position he could add more quality. The club has been linked with one of Bundesliga’s best player last season in Mkhitaryan and one of the Premier League’s best player last year in Mahrez and with the above named duo proving to be difficult to sign, Wenger is now keeping tabs on one of the best players in Russia league.
According to Russian publication Izvestia via Inside Futbol, Arsenal scouts have watched Promes on many occasions and could make a move for the player this summer.
The Winger was very impressive for the Russian side last year becoming the league’s highest goal scorer with 18 goals and earning the award of the club’s player of the year in the process. It is believed the 24 year old is open to the idea of moving to one of Europe’s big clubs this summer and a move to Arsenal would definitely appeal to the winger.
Should Wenger make a move for the winger, he is expected to cost the French man a considerable part of his transfer funds as the report claims Promes will not be sold on a cheap.
The winger joined Sparktar Moscow from FC Twente for €12m in 2014 and the Russian club will be keen to make a considerable profit on the winger.
Promes is full time Netherlands international and has made nine appearances for the Dutch team.
