Manchester City are monitoring Arsenal duo Alex oxlade-Chmaberlain and Theo Walcott, according to the Telegraph.
New City boss Pep Guardiola wants to carry out a major overhaul of his squad and it is believed the Spaniard is keen on increasing the number of homegrown players in his squad and has set his sight on the Gunners duo.
Walcott has been linked with a move away from the Emirates and Guardiola have told Manchester City to keep track of development regarding the winger’s future. It is claimed that Guardiola is a fan of pacey wingers and the Spaniard rates Walcott highly.
Chamberlain has also been linked with a move away from the club and Guardiola is also interested in signing the England international.
The incoming Manchester City boss is interested in signing the winger and it is believed he wants to develop the 22 year old into one of the best centre midfielder’s in England.
It is claimed that Chamberlain’s versatility is what makes him special to Guardiola, the midfielder has covered for Wenger in Central midfield position in times of injury crisis and he could find himself permanently in that position should he move to the Etihad.
The duo are reportedly not interested in a move away from Arsenal but should a big club like City comes calling, they could be tempted to make the switch.
