Arsenal have officially announced the signing of Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna this summer in a deal worth in the rejoin of £17million.

However, some fans including myself have been dreaming for a player like Griezmann or Karim Benzema but it seems the French coach has opted to strengthen his side with a values for money target rather than regular names we know who are playing for big clubs.

However, Perez was sensational for Deportivo last season scoring 17 goals and providing 7 assist to his name.

Now, Arsenal Celebrity fan Piers Morgan has taken to his twitter handle to spread his strong opinions on everything from Arsene Wenger’s future to Stan Kroenke’s ownership, and Arsene Wenger’s new striker. He had a dig at the uncapped Spaniard striker claiming he had “never heard” of him before he joined Arsenal.

“I’m happy because I believe he has the qualities to integrate into our team very well,” Wenger told Arsenal Player. “He’s not only a goalscorer, he’s a guy who combines well with partners, who can give a final ball and makes good runs. “I think people will be a little bit surprised maybe, because nobody knows him very well. He has travelled a bit across Europe. “He’s a late developer in this position because he has always played on the flanks. He’s got a good eye for goal and had an outstanding season last year in a team that didn’t create too many chances. “I’m confident. He has pace, good technical levels, is a good finisher and he has the ingredients to be a success. It’s always a little bit of a gamble to come from one country to another, with different challenges, but I believe it was a gamble worth taking. I’m excited about that.”

However, his tweet sparked out outrage as fans suggested Morgan was not fit to comment on Arsenal’s transfer policy if he didn’t know who the 27-year-old striker was.
