Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg has hailed Alexis Sanchez’s performances this season.
Sanchez has drawn praise from both ex-players and pundits for his early season form and Ljungberg has joined the long list of former players showering praise on the forward.
Sanchez was recently converted to a centre forward by Wenger and the Chile international has adapted perfectly well. The 27-year old who usually operates from the left wing has moved centrally seamlessly and the change in position is getting the best out of the forward. He has four league goals to his name already and many has backed him to lead the club to the Premier League title this season.
Ljungberg who was part of the Gunners most successful team, the 2004 invincibles has revealed Sanchez is his favorite player in the current Arsenal side.
“Alexis Sanchez is playing very well. He is helping out a lot in defence as well with his pressing. I just like watching him play,” Ljungberg said.
Ljungberg made over 310 appearances for Arsenal and scored 75 goals in all competitions. He is currently working at the club as manager of the U16 side.
The former winger spent nine years at Arsenal, winning two Premier League titles and four FA cups.
