Italian giants Juventus are interested in signing Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.
The Italian giants are reportedly in search of a centre-forward and are looking to the Premier League for one. It is claimed that Liverpool’s Divock Origi and Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud are the two strikers that Massimiliano Allegri is monitoring.
Giroud was linked with a move away from the Emirates but it appears the summer links were just made up by the media as Arsenal were not interested in selling him. However, reports in Italy are still linking the French man with a move away from the Emirates with Juventus his likeliest destination.
According to Calcio Mercato via the Daily Star, Juventus will make a move for Giroud should they fail to secure Origi’s services.
Origi is the Italian club’s first choice target and should Liverpool be reluctant to sell, they will turn to the Gunners man.
Arsenal would be reluctant to let Giroud leave but it is unknown if the player will push for a move.
Seven games into the 2016/2017, Giroud is yet to start a league game for the club and he appears to be competing with Lucas Perez to play back up to Alexis Sanchez.
Sanchez was converted to the centre forward position at the beginning of the season and his impressive performances in the role has limited the French striker to the bench.
Giroud has been a key member of Wenger’s squad since he joined the club in 2012 but has divided fans opinions in equal measure with his performances.
