Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Arsenal are facing a battle to keep one of its talented youngsters, according to reports. Academy defender Kristopher Da Graca is attracting interest from French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

The French club have been monitoring our youngster for sometime and are now keen to sign him next summer. Kristopher joined us in 2014 from Swedish side Hisingsbacka and has looked impressive since he joined us.

According to leading football tabloid The Sun via the Daily Star PSG are desperate about signing the defender after watching him put up some series of superb performances for our U-18 team. The defender’s contract expires at the end of the season and it is believed we want him to extend his contract.

The report claimed the defender would prefer to remain with us as he is keen to become a regular at our U-21 level but we would be unable to offer him regular playing time at that level which could give PSG the chance to swoop for the defender.

Our interest in keeping the defender isn’t surprising as he is one of the best players in our U18 squad. His development was stunted by a serious injury he sustained last year but he is back on track with impressive showings this season.

Over the years, we have developed a reputation of giving youngsters a good platform to develop into fine footballers and I believe it would be advisable for Kristopher to remain and develop with us. All he needs to do is to look at Alex Iwobi who broke into the first team when he least expected and continue to work hard hoping his time will come soon.
