I’m Ready To Make The Switch To The Emirates Stadium, Wenger’s Top Priority Reveals

Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Arsenal target Paul-Georges Ntep has hinted he could be available for transfer in the winter transfer window.

The forward joined Rennes in January 2014 and has been impressive for the French side. He’s been one of their best players but his future at the French club is now in doubt as his contract expires at the end of the season and he hasn’t put pen to paper on a new deal.

Few days ago, we covered a report claiming Rennes could be tempted to sell in January so as to avoid losing the winger for nothing next summer and unsurprisingly – as we are always linked with virtually every French footballer, our name was thrown back in the mix as one of the clubs interested in signing the forward.

The 23-year-old has now revealed he is leaving his future in the hands of his agent and will have no say on whatever happens.

“Today, nothing is signed,” Ntep said about a possible new contract at his current club .

“I have not been heeded because I leave that to my agent and I do not mind.

“But it does not make me worry.

“If I have to continue [at Rennes], I will extend my contract.

“If I have to leave in January, I will leave in January .”

We were very close to signing the winger in 2014 before he opted to join Rennes and it is not surprising that he is being linked with us again now that his future at his club is in doubt. However, I don’t see a deal for Ntep happening because he doesn’t look like a player who will make any more impact than on loan Campbell would have made had he remained with us. At this point we have to focus on strengthening our squad and top class players should be our priority.
