Chuba Akpom will be leaving Arsenal on loan in the winter transfer window, according to the Mirror.
The 21 year old who had a temporary spell at Hull City last season has struggled for game time at Arsenal this year and could be allowed to leave on loan in January again.
Wenger opted against sending him out on loan at the beginning of the season because of our attacking crisis but he wasn’t able to force his way into the team before suffering a back injury in september.
The striker is now closing in on a return to full fitness and Wenger wants him to continue his development by playing regularly.
The boss aims to send him out on loan in the new year with three championship clubs have already interested in signing the striker.
Cardiff, Fulham and Brentford are the three clubs said to be interested in the striker.
Akpom has featured just once for Arsenal this season and a move to any of the above named clubs will offer him regular playing time which I think will be beneficial to his development.
The striker was hoping to break into Wenger’s starting xi this season just like his best pal Iwobi did last year but things didn’t go as planned. He will now have to make the most out of this loan opportunity so it could open up a route for him into our first team.
