Everton are confident of signing long-time Arsenal target Ademola Lookman, according to reports.
Lookman has been impressive for Charlton Athletic since making his debut last November and top Premier League clubs, including Arsenal have sent scouts to watch him on more than one occasion.
Arsenal in particular are said to have been impressed by the player and Wenger even attempted to sign him in the last transfer window but Charlton were not interested in selling and blocked all attempts to sign the player.
Lookman has continued to impress for Charlton, scoring twice in their 3-1 FA cup win over Scurnthope last month and more clubs have continued to join the race to sign the striker.
Everton are the latest club to join the striker’s chase and the Daily Mail claims the Toffees are confident of beating everyone else to signing the striker.
Ronald Koeman is keen on strengthening his squad in the winter transfer window and sees Lookman as a good signing.
Lookman has scored eight league goals for Charlton since making his debut about a year ago and he looks like one destined to do big things in the future.
Wenger has brought a lot of British talents to the Emirates over the years and i won’t be surprised if he is really interested in Look man. If that is the case, we will now have to step up our pursuit and challenge Everton for his signature.
I have no doubt that we will beat the Toffees to Lookman’s signature if we step up our interest.
