Club Insider Confirm Arsenal’s January Plans And Players To Go On Loan

Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

According to the Telegraph, Arsene Wenger has no plan to strengthen his squad in the winter transfer window.

Arsenal currently sit second on the Premier League table, three points behind league leaders Chelsea and our brilliant start to the season have shown that we have enough quality to challenge for the league title this season.

The Gunners haven’t lost a game since the opening day defeat to Liverpool and Wenger is confident the squad is well equipped to challenge for trophies in the second half of the season.

Several reports have linked Arsenal with a host of players in recent weeks, most recently Cesc Fabregas and Dimitri Payet but the Telegraph via HITC Sport reckons that it is likely going to be a quiet transfer window at the Emirates.

The report claims Wenger will only be forced into the transfer market in January if we are hit by a “significant number” of injuries.

If this report is true, it will definitely frustrate some Gooners who want to see the club strengthen in January.

Some have been calling for the club to sign a replacement to Santi Cazorla who will be out for the next three months and they will definitely be disappointed by this news.

However one can’t really blame Wenger, we have enough numbers in virtually all positions on the pitch, meaning one player must leave for us to bring in a replacement. Also, most clubs don’t like losing their star players mid-season, meaning it would be difficult to get that player who will considerably improve our squad in January.

It’s fine if Wenger insists on not signing players in January but we can only hope the current players are able to get the job done at the end of the season.

I’m a bit confident they can if they can stay free from injuries.
