Arsenal reignite its interest in Real Madrid playmaker Isco, according to reports.

Isco was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates in the summer transfer window but the midfielder happened to remain with the Spanish club. However, he has only managed to complete three games this season and has become frustrated with his bit part role at the club.

The midfielder is now considering a move away from the La Liga giants but the report claims he has made it clear that he will only consider a Champions League club. Isco has played just 66 minutes in the Champions League for Madrid this season and that is said to have frustrated the player.

With the player having just 18 months left in his contract, Madrid have made a move to extend his deal but reports in Spain reckons that Madrid’s move is only to get a huge fee from the sale of the midfielder not really because his long term future lies at the Bernabeu.

According to a report in The Daily Mirror, Arsenal could launch a loan bid to sign the midfielder in January with a compulsory option to buy at the end of the season.

The report also revealed that Madrid and Arsenal are £8m apart in their valuation. Real Madrid values player at £25m while Arsenal believe he is not worth more than £17m.

Although an agreement can easily be reached, Arsenal have enough options in midfield but the quality of Isco will make him a quality addition to our squad.

The Spaniard is also versatile, being able to play in multiple positions without reducing his efficiency and that will make him an ideal signing for us.

As much as i’d love him to join us, I do not think there is any chance we will sign next month. My reason is simply because I don’t think there is enough truth in this report.

Should Isco leave for a Champions League club in January, he will be ineligible to play in the competition for another club this season. Also Madrid have been banned from signing players in the next three transfer windows and would not want to lose a player when they can’t sign a replacement.
