Arsenal scouts are busy with efforts to identify quality players that would strengthen our squad ahead of the winter transfer window, according to a report in Sport Witness.

Arsenal have been linked with a lot of players ahead of the winter transfer window. However, some reports reckon that it will likely be a quiet window at the Emirates as Wenger is happy with his squad but they refused to rule out some signings should there be an injury crisis.

And it appears Arsenal scouts were busy at Portugal on Saturday eyeing up players who could strengthen our squad ahead of next month transfer window.

According to O’ Jogo, Arsenal scouts were present at the match between Benfica and Estoril to run the rule over some players.

The report suggests Arsenal scouts are keeping an eye on Rafa Silva and Nelson Semendo.

Both players have already been linked with Arsenal at some point this season and it could be that our scouts were just carrying out its regular check on the players.

I do not think we will be making a move for any of the above named players in January considering we have enough options in both players’ position.

Silva is a centre midfielder by trade while Semendo has established himself as one of Europe’s most promising right backs but Wenger is unlikely going to strengthen any of those positions unless there is a serious injury to any of our players.

So I think the chances of them joining us in January is minimal. However, it will be worth keeping an eye on how things pan out.
