West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has ruled out the sale of Arsenal target Dimitri Payet in next month’s transfer window.

Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the French man’s situation at West Ham ahead of the January transfer window but it seems there isn’t any chance that the player will leave the London stadium.

Wenger is a big fan of the 29 year old playmaker having watched him since his days at Marseille and reports emerged last month that the boss is still keen on signing the winger. A January bid was rumored to be in the offing but Bilic has warned potential suitors not to waste their time.

Speaking ahead of this year’s boxing day fixture, Bilic said: “We don’t want to sell him — he’s our top player and as we said in the last transfer window we don’t want to sell him like with any other player, especially great players,” he said.

“All the speculation starts and, Dimitri Payet , he’s a great player but he’s got a long contract with us and as I’m saying every time you ask me that question we don’t want to sell him.

“We’re going to do everything so that he stays with us.”

I think that should put an end to any hope of signing Payet and now, we will have to look somewhere else if we were really hoping to sign the playmaker.

The French midfielder signed a new long term contract with the Hammers last summer, putting them in a strong position to hold on to the player.

I always knew it was going to be difficult signing Payet considering West Ham are struggling this season. It will be suicidal to lose their best player, so i’m not surprise that they are determined to hold on to him.
