Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Arsenal are planning to raid Borussia Dortmund of two of its best players as doubts over the future of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil continues.

The contract renewal Saga involving Arsenal, Ozil and Sanchez is no longer news to anyone associated with the club. The players are yet to sign a contract extension to their current deal which expires in 2018 and are holding out for as much as £200,000 weekly to stay.

Both players, although insist they are happy at the Emirates, they have refused to rule out a switch away and should they fail to sign a new contract before the end of the season, we could be forced to sell them so as not to risk losing them for free in 2018.

Arsene Wenger’s priority remains to get both players to sign new deals but the boss is not prepared to take any chances and has lined up potential replacements for the duo, should he be forced to sell them.

According to the Sun, BVB’s Marco Reus and Christian Pulisic are the two players on Wenger’s radar to replace Sanchez and Ozil.

Wenger is very familiar with both BVB players and has been keeping tabs on them for quite sometime.

Wenger is a known admirer of Reus and sees the German as an ideal replacement to Sanchez.

Pulisic is believed to be the main target and at 18, the attacking midfielder has shown that he has the potential to become one of the best in the world and Wenger has been so impressed by his talents, identifying him as Ozil’s successor.

BVB will face a fight to keep the duo as Arsenal are not the only club interested in the players. Liverpool are being linked with the duo while Pulisic is also on Bayern Munich’s radar.

BVB don’t want to sell either of the players and will do everything possible to keep them out of the reach of interested clubs. So therefore, I think we should double our efforts to convince Ozil and Sanchez to sign new deals here, that I believe will be easier and safer for us as a club.
