HUGE: Arsenal PLOT Star Perfect Replacement- Deal Currently On-going

Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Arsenal will make a move for Ricardo Rodriguez if Kieran Gibbs leaves the Emirates in the winter transfer window, according to reports.

Gibbs is being linked with a move away from Arsenal when the transfer window opens in a couple of days with Crystal Palace, Swansea and West Ham all chasing his signature.

The England international has been in and out of Arsenal first team this season and his long-term future is currently unclear as his contract expires at the end of next season with Arsenal yet to offer him a new deal.

A move away from the Emirates could offer him stability and a clear future plan but I think Arsenal would rather keep him for now.

However, Italian Journalist Emmanue Giulianelli via the Daily Star, claims the club will make a move for Wolfsbrug Ricardo Rodriguez if Gibbs leaves next month.

He tweeted : “Arsenal news: Palace, Swansea and West Ham have all enquired about Gibbs.

“If that happens there will be a new LB signing, Ricardo Rodriguez.”

Obviously, if Arsenal sell Gibbs, it will leave Monreal as our only fit left back, meaning bringing in a replacement will be inevitable.

Ricardo Rodriguez is a long term Arsenal target and was linked with a move to the Emirates in the last transfer window, so it wouldn’t be surprising if he emerges as a target of ours again.

I can’t tell if Arsenal will be interested in making a move for Rodriguez in January but more credible sources have claimed Valencia’s Jose Gaya is Wenger’s top target.

However, Gaya won’t be available until the summer at least which makes me believe that Wenger will do everything to keep Gibbs here until next summer when we will have a better chance of signing our top target.
