Revealed Arsenal To Sign Valencia and Liverpool Target- Medicals Soon

Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Valencia are set to rival Arsenal in the race to sign Benfica winger Goncalo Guedes, according to reports.

Arsenal have long been monitoring Guedes’ development and few weeks ago, we covered a report that claimed that Arsenal have lined him up as a replacement to Chamberlain who is attracting interest from both Liverpool and Manchester City.

Guedes is regarded as one of Portugal’s most exciting talents and is already attracting the interests of many top clubs. The likes of Manchester United have been linked with the young man this season and now Valencia have joined the race to sign him.

According to reports, Valencia have a good relationship with Benfica and could use that as an advantage in the race to sign Guedes.

Wenger has been keeping tabs on the young winger for quite sometime and it is believed he will do his best to bring him to the Emirates if Benfica are willing to sell but the French man will now face a fight to get his man with Valencia joining the race.

Guedes has a release clause of €60m in his contract and i’m sure both Arsenal and Valencia will be looking to negotiate a lower fee to sign the young man.

However, I do not think the player will be leaving Benfica in the January transfer window but next summer could be possible.

I wouldn’t be surprised if other clubs join the race to sign him before then because from what i’v seen, the lad is a hell of a talent.

I’d love Guedes to join Arsenal because he will be a quality signing for us with the future in mind but considering the number of options we have in his position, I do not think we will make a move to sign him anytime soon, unless one of our players leave.
