Sanchez Agrees Arsenal Deal But Mesut Ozil Insist He Wants Out

Alexis Sanchez is closer to signing a new deal at Arsenal than Mesut Ozil is, according to reports in Spain.

Sanchez and Ozil have been in talks with Arsenal since August over a contract extension but they have failed to strike an agreement with the club. The duo are said to be demanding a whooping £250,000 a week deal to sign a new contract but the Gunners are unwilling to pay that much.

For a long time, it’s been thought that Ozil is closer to signing a new deal than the Chilean but Spanish journalist who works for El Confidencial has revealed that Sanchez is actually the closest to put pen to paper on a new deal

The striker’s future was the subject of topic on the pages of the newspaper again after his reaction after our 3-3 draw against Bournemouth on Tuesday. The Mirror claimed after the match that some players fear that the forward wants to leave the club but Marin reckons the player wants to stay.

This very much correlates with Wenger’s recent claims that the striker wants to stay at the Emirates. The boss said he is convinced that the Chilean will extend his contract but admits that the club won’t be held to ransome financially.

Marin has reported many Arsenal news in the past that turned out to be correct and it appears he has good links within the club.

Hopefully, he will be right this time around because I have always thought that it would be more difficult to convince Sanchez to sign a new deal.

If the Chilean does put pen to paper, i’m sure Ozil will follow suit and everyone will be happy.
