Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel has denied interest in Arsenal starlet Gideon Zelalem.
Reports in Germany had claimed the Bundesliga giants are interested in signing the young midfielder on loan this month.
However, Tuchel has ruled out a move for the defender, claiming he has so many young players in his squad already.
Zelalem is highly rated at Arsenal and is being touted to follow the path of Alex Iwobi into the first team but the midfielder has been able to do so yet. He has featured just three times for Arsenal this season and It was thought that Bundesliga clubs’ including BVB will try to sign the midfielder on loan so he can play regularly until the end of the season but Tuchel has ruled his club out of the race to sign the youngster.
When asked about BVB’s interest in Zelalem, Tuchel said, as quoted by the Daily Star: “Right now? No. Not as far as I’m concerned.”
it is unknown if Wenger is interested in sending the lad out on loan but I doubt he will want to let the lad leave considering the amount of options we have in central midfield at the moment.
Actually, I never expected a move to BVB to come into fruition because there is no assurance he would get more game time at the Signal Iduna Park than he would at the Emirates.
A move to a mid-table club in Germany would be better for the youngster but i’m not expecting that to happen unless a new midfielder comes in at the Emirates which is very unlikely at this stage.
