Ivan Gazidis Reveals Arsenal Are Working Round The Clock To Sign This HERO

Goonersden brings you news from top football news sites from the likes of ESPN, SkySport, Daily Mail, Daily Star and Metro… We also Analyse football, player, transfer and predict Arsenal starting line-up.

Arsene Wenger will sign a contract extension at Arsenal in March, according to reports.

The manager is into the final year of his contract and his future has been up in the air for quite sometime.

Club chiefs tried to extend Wenger’s contract in the summer but he said he wanted to wait until the end of the season before making a decision on his future. That triggered reports suggesting the French man could end his 20 year spell at the Emirates this season.

But the Mirror via the Daily Star are now claiming, Wenger will put pen to paper on a new deal in March.

Ivan Gazidis and co are keen to resolve Wenger’s future so they can focus on that of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

Both players are stalling on extending their stay here and they have told the club that they want the uncertainty surrounding Wenger to be resolved before they put pen to paper on a new deal.

Ozil made it clear two weeks ago that Wenger would be crucial in his decision to sign a new deal and the club have made moves to resolve that.

Arsenal are confident of extending the French man’s contract by two more years but want it to happen quickly so we can focus on the players.

Ozil and Sanchez have been crucial to our little success in recent years and it’s nice to see the club show that it wants to keep them here at all cost.

I’m sure Gooners will be excited with this news just as I am, it means our star players will be staying with us for many more years.
